UWE Superstar OUT of Genesis

 

The Ultimate Wrestling Entertainment staff has just learned that after thorough medical examination, UWE SUperstar Ruby will not be medically cleared to compete at Genesis on April 16th. One of UWE’s chief medical doctors has ruled out her appearance on the show, claiming that “due to the nature of her injury, it would pose a severe and real threat to her long-term health.” Ruby was scheduled to face Lucilla in a Marry Me! Match, which now seems to be off the cards.

 
What this means going forward for UWE’s tiny Canadian, is anyone’s guess. Over the Top General Manager Lara Pegorino said that there is ‘no final decision made regarding the outcome of this match’. As we all know Ruby would be legally forced to marry Lucilla in case of a Genesis loss. We’ll have more on this story as it develops.

 

UWE Facing PETA Boycott

 

Ultimate Wrestling Entertainment is closing in on its first pay-per-view since the company’s return to the spotlight. A successful showing would go a long way to putting the wrestling company, once the industry leader, back on track towards the number one spot again.

 

There is opposition to the event, however. Most notably directed at the highly publicised match between Wulf Erikson and James Calhoun, which will feature a python suspended above the ring.

 

The match has caught the eye and ire of PETA.

 
Jeff Scott, senior vice president of public relations for the animal rights group, had this to say:

 

“Sports in general have a long history of exploiting animals for entertainment puposes. The so called ‘ultimate’ Wrestling Entertainment continues this tradition by hanging a live snake dangerously above the ring. If the people at UWE will not call this match off then we at PETA are calling on animal lovers everywhere to boycott this show.”

 

Recently named general manager, Lara Pegorino, could not be reached for comment. Lise Fortier, however, indicated that she has every intent to continue with the match as planned.

At Genesis, the event will begin with the crowning of the first UWE Canadian Champion! An open invitational over the top style battle royal will be held to kick off the pay-per-view. The only exclusions will be Ronnie Cage and Asylum due to their Ultimate Wrestling Championship contest.

Come one. Come all. Who might we see pop out of the woodwork? Ricky Darlington could give it a shot! Angela Icke could return to the ring! Even Mike Manning could sneak the victory!

On April 16, 2017, Ultimate Wrestling Entertainment will truly be reborn.

Hollywood has a long love affair with celebrities who have overcome addictions to return to the spotlight. Robert Downey Jr. is living proof of that. Now, as the documentary detailing the return of James Calhoun to wrestling nears completion, the so called Callous One might be heading to a big screen roll as well.

 

According to Hollywood Insiders, Calhoun’s agent has been in talks with Warner Brothers, who is preparing to reboot the Mortal Kombat film franchise. If the rumors are to be believed, Calhoun might be in contention to play gunslinger Erron Black in the new film.

 

This is all still in the very early stages and a viral video of James Calhoun’s agent Alison Everett punching her client in the face may put a damper on such negotiations. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available!
