Here is this weeks recap of the most recent Ultimate Wrestling Entertainment show. This week the talent returned to Toronto.

1. New blood takes on the veteran

Singles Match: David Stone vs. Damian Darque

Interestingly enough, David Stone has been around for nine years, where as Damian Darque has been around for just a few weeks. In his short time with the UWE, Damian has managed to be a wrestler to keep an eye on. The match up started off as a battle of strength as neither man could get the upper hand through grapples. Stone was able to land a nice German Release Suplex and Big Boot, but Damian was able to nail the Hell’s Gate Crasher to nail the win in just under seven minutes. Quite the impressive match and it really set the tone for the whole show.

2. Masked Madman menaces former Ladies Champ

Singles Match: Lily Jackson vs. Asylum

Poor Lily. Just last week she lost her Women’s title. This week, Asylum was on top as the new World Champion. Asylum made quick work of Lily. She seemed distracted and maybe if she wasn’t, she might’ve put up a better fight. But alas, Asylum scored the victory with the Lobotomy. After the match, Chaos appeared in bandages, and tried to attack Asylum but he just got the Shock Treatment. Lily ended up being the one to show concern for Chaos in the end after he failed to make the save. What’s going on?

Congrats Asylum on your win. Who will be the eventual challenger?

3. Champion versus Champion in a non-title bout

Women’s Champion Princess D. Diva vs. Rising Star Champion Amy GoBraless

This ladies match was quite impressive and surely is the match of the night. It was a typical back and forth bout as both ladies fought for the win. In the end, Amy GoBraless scored the win after landing a top front front missile drop kick. Actually, that move alone wasn’t enough, as Amy had to use another drop kick after she escaped Diamond’s finisher; a Diamond Cutter. The Diamond Cutter is a sunset flip powerbomb and it nearly ended Amy’s main event match. However, Amy rolled out of the move and used the kick to secure a win.

What will happen next week as Open Season continues?

UWE Insider: Hot Topics #9

Hot Topics

Welcome to an all new edition of Hot Topics. I’m glad to be back after a brief hiatus… of sorts. I was on vacation. Guess where Gwendy went… I went to the Bahamas. After vacation, I learned that there were changes in staff duties. Lucky for you all, I’m still on the writing payroll.

Asylum defeated the Armenian Beast to become a multi-reigning-World Champion, so we send out a huge congratulations to Asylum on his victory. That’s a huge, huge win because not that many can take down the Armenian Beast. It’s a big feat. Who will challenge Asylum now? The Armenian Beast, reportedly, isn’t going to be at a few upcoming shows. However, we probably haven’t seen the last of the Beast just yet. Keep in mind he still has a rematch clause.

Congratulations to the ladies on a new Women’s Championship. Lily Jackson was the inaugural champion, declaring her a three time Ladies Champ, but that changed quick after Princess Diamond Diva dethroned Lily to win her first title. Diva has only had a handful of matches for UWE and she’s already on top. Maybe Lily was distracted with her new boo, Chaos. Or maybe Princess Diamond Diva’s mind games worked. Regardless, Lily needs to keep focused, especially if she’s the self-declared Queen of UWE. She nearly beat Princess, the new blood are proving to be quite strong talent.

There’s a new power couple on the scene and it’s Princess Diamond Diva and her man Damian Darque. Damian has been impressive in his debut matches and now he’s going to face David Stone on an upcoming show. Look out David Stone, Damian is on the rise and he’s coming up quick.

Reports say that Demoana and Serah aren’t getting along. Demoana won at the Halloween Hell costume contest because let’s face it… skin wins. Serah is showing jealousy and what used to be a modest lady has now become a hate filled wench. Sorry Serah, we love you, but you’re acting un-lady-like. But they aren’t the only ladies in the locker room with tension: there’s Amy Gobraless, Diamond Diva and of course Lily Jackson. None of the girls appear to be friends!

UWE Results: Vancouver Show

1. Diamond Diva debuts on top; reigns over Chaos
Diva defeated Chaos in a fast match=up. There was little, actually there was no effort on behalf of Chaos. Thus, the match was entertaining because Diva got the last laugh against the misogynistic and sexist Chaos. What a finish, with the sunset flip bomb!

2. The Special Forces return to victory and in-ring duty post Battleground tour
Craven and Natasha Lynx were unsuccessful in their match against the Special Forces. It was a decent tag match and the crowd was happy to see the Special Forces come out on top after Major Payne used the boot camp to take out Craven. The Special Forces are a highly entertaining and competitive unit.

3. Lily Jackson welcomes Addison Hart back with a bang
Addison Hart made a return to UWE, the last time she appeared was during the Summer Heat tour. Lily competed on the battle fields and welcomed Addison back in a proper fashion. Ah, just like the old days. The match ended with a Chick Kick.

4. World Championship match is one for the books
Asylum was unable to take the UWE World Championship away from the Armenian Beast on two occasions. The two out of three falls match saw the Beast get awarded a win after Asylum dominated him with strikes. Asylum got disqualified as a consequence. Asylum was also able to score a pin, but the Beast got the final pin. Therefore, the title is still intact around the Beast’s waist.

That’s all she wrote!

What will go down in Edmonton, AB, Canada at the next Live event?
